Our fully qualified dispensing staff have considerable knowledge in both the technical and fashion aspects of optical appliances and wide experience within the optical industry.  They play an essential part in ensuring that your optometrist's recommendations and specifications are met and that your frames and lenses best suit your prescription and lifestyle needs.  The dispensers will explain the many lens and coating options available for improving visual comfort and/or adding protection.  At the same time they will also ensure that your new glasses are made in a way that makes them look the very best they can be.

Our longest-standing staff member, Sue joined the then Eyecare Collins Place way back in 1995, having previously completed the RMIT Guild course in Optical Dispensing. After taking maternity leave in 2001 and 2004, Sue resumed work in the practice on a part-time basis and her return has been greatly appreciated by patients and other staff alike.



> Hovick Azar

A vastly experienced optical dispenser, Hovick originally joined the practice in 2005 as a locum.  We liked each other so much that Hovick is now employed on a permanent part-time basis.  Hovick has seen many sides of optics and his expertise and customer service ethic fit very well with our practice.





> Sarah Wassnig
(Optical Assistant & Administration)

Currently studying optometry in the Department of Vision Science at the University of Melbourne, Sarah performs a variety of roles including assisting in frame selection, imaging and administration.  Sarah joined the practice in the second half of 2007 and has made a significant impact in a short period of time.
